AP Cong core committee to meet on Jan 21

The state congress core committee will meet in Hyderabad on Jan 21 under the chairmanship of the Union Minister and in-charge of the AP Congress affairs Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad.

The core committee, which officiates as a coordinator between the party and the government, met one month ago without any agenda for the first time after its formation. The Jan 21 meeting, first after the induction of PRP members into the Cabinet, will discuss the agenda of the Chief Minster Kirankumar reddy, according to sources.

Apart from Kirankumar reddy, PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana, deputy chief minister Damodar Rajanarasimha, former PCC chief D. Srinivas, Tirupati MLA Mr Chiranjeevi, former minister Shabbir Ali and party MP Mr Kavuri Sambasiva Rao are the other members of the committee. Azad is its convener.

Azad is likely to arrive in Hyderabad hours ahead of the meeting at Gandhi Bhavan and will stay in the city for the next day also to oversee the party affairs. (JUBS)
