Shankar Rao, Ravindra to be dropped?

Chief Minister Kirankumar reddy is said to have sought permission from the party high command to drop four ministers including Dr P. Shankar Rao and Dr D.L. Ravindra Reddy from the cabinet and induct six new members.

Reports in a section of the media said party president Sonia Gandhi has agreed to the request of the CM to affect a major reshuffle as per his request.

In his one-and-half-hour discussions with Sonia Gandhi in Delhi this morning, Kirankumar reportedly requested her to direct APCC president Botsa Satyanarayana to quit the cabinet and concentrate fully on the party affairs.

However, the name of the fourth minister the CM wanted to drop from the cabinet is not yet known. It is also not clear whether the party president has agreed to drop Botsa from the cabinet.

The CM has also submitted a list of six new members to be inducted into the cabinet along with two PRP legislators, according to reports. The list reportedly contains the names of J.C. Diwakar Reddy, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Uttam Kumar Reddy, Sujana Krishna Ranga Rao and Md Jani. The name of the sixth minister the CM wanted to induct into the cabinet is not known.

It is now more or less certain that the CM will induct PRP members C. Ramachandraiah and Ganta Srinivasa Rao into his cabinet.

In case of Botsa Satyanarayana, Kiran Kumar Reddy has requested the party high command to stick to the rule of ‘one man, one post’ and ensure his quitting the cabinet. (JUBS)
