In a gruesome incident, two kids were reportedly kidnapped and killed by their maternal uncle who eyed their property in Chittor district last night.

Reports said a couple, Meena and Vasu, belonging to the Rentalachenu village of Vedurukuppam Mandalam, went to the residence of Nagaraju in Tirupati town Thursday last for the Sankranthi festival.

Nagaraju took the two kids Surya and Diwakar on the pretext of buying new clothes for them last evening but he never returned home. Villagers found the bodies of the two children in a well near the Rentalachenu village this morning.

The shocked couple lodged a police compliant leading to the arrest of Nagaraju. Reports said police have also arrested two more persons who have helped Nagaraju in killing the kids.

Nagaraju had agreed to the killing of the two kids and property disputes are said to be the main reason for the double murder, according to police. (JUBS)
