SC adjourns to Feb 21 Srilakshmi’s bail plea

The Supreme Court today adjourned to Feb 21 hearing on the bail petition of suspended IAS officer Ms Srilakshmi in the illegal mining case involving the former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan reddy.

Srilakshmi has been presently lodged in the women’s wing of the Chanchalguda jail in Hyderabad.

Adjourning the hearing on her bail petition, the apex court directed the CBI to submit the charge sheet to it on that date. “Finish the charge sheet by Feb 15 and submit the same to the court by Feb 21 when the bail petition is heard,” the division bench hearing the case told the CBI.

Gali Janardhan reddy, his brother-in-law BV Srinivasa reddy and former mining department director Rajagopal apart from Srilakshmi have been arrested so far in the case. (JUBS)
