Jagan’s effigy burnt in Siddipet

Pro-Telangana activists today burnt the effigy of YSR Congress party chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy in Siddipet of Karimnagar district.

Raising slogans against the proposed three day tour of Jagan in Nizamabad district and his 48-hour fast beginning tomorrow at Armur, the activists vowed not to allow him to tour the district.

The activists told journalists they would not allow Jagan to tour the Telangana area without making his stand clear on the issue of Telangana. “He has to state his party’s stand on the issue first. Without making his party’s stand known, how can he tour the Telangana region?” they asked.

Meanwhile, senior congress leader Mr Hanumantha rao wanted to know why TRS president KCR has been silent on the proposed tour of Jagan and his 48-hour fast in Nizamabad district.

“I have not seen KCR’s statement till now though JAC said it would oppose Jagan’s tour. What is the change that KCR has seen in Jagan from the days of Mahaboobabad from where he was forced to return in the past?” asked Hanumantha rao. (JUBS)
