Azad gives earful to cong groups, leaves for Delhi

Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad, union minister and in-charge of the AP congress affairs, today left for Delhi at the end of his two day tour of Hyderabad.

Azad, who came to Hyderabad late Wednesday night, attended a breakfast meeting hosted by the mega star Chiranjeevi at his Jubilee Hills residence this morning. Except for the Chief Minster Kirankumar reddy, all other members of the state congress core committee attended the breakfast discussions. However, what transpired at the discussions was kept a secret.

Azad attended the first core committee meeting held at Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad Thursday evening. All members attended the meeting where Azad suggested to all of them to have better coordination between the Government and the PCC.

Reports said that some congress leaders complained to Azad against Kirankumar reddy saying that he was keeping off the party workers all the time and encouraging only workers and leaders close to him.

While complaints against Kiran were lodged by followers of PCC chief and transport Minister Botsa Satyanarayana, followers of Kirankumar reddy also made some complaints against Botsa and his followers, according to media reports.

Azad reportedly asked both the groups of Kiran Kumar and Botsa Satyanarayana not to fight or level allegations in the public against each other but remain united and discuss party issues in the party platforms.

Azad also reportedly proposed that the core committee should meet every fortnight if necessary to discuss party issues and ensure better coordination between the party and the government. (JUBS)
