CBI Arrests Vijay Sai Reddy - second accused in Jagan's assets case

CBI Arrested Mr. Vijay Sai Reddy , accused No.2 in Jagan Mohan Reddy’s assets case. Vijay Sai Reddy is the second of the 74 listed as accused. He is the vice-chairman of Jagathi Publications. Sai Reddy was the family auditor of YSR and of the Sandur Power Company Ltd owned by the Kadapa MP. He had resigned in December 2005 and had been appointed as director of the company in which position he continued till December 2006.

CBI called him to their office at Dilkusha Guest House Monday morning for questioning. CBI is understood to have arrested the top Jagan aide under Prevention of Corruption Act section 13, clause 4. The other sections under which he was charged include section 120 (B), 409, 477 and 477 (A). It is believed that at least under 7 sections the case is registered by CBI.

The CBI probe began in Y S jagan case  after a PIL filed by textile minister Shankar Rao and a preliminary probe lasting three months  confirmed the amassing of wealth by misuse of his fathers office.  The FIR lists Jagan, now the president of YSR Congress, as the number one accused, followed by V Vijay Sai Reddy, vice-chairman of Jagati Publications (which runs Sakshi TV and Sakshi Telugu daily owned by Jagan).

In the FIR, CBI has accused Jagan of "conspiring" with his father and other individuals and companies to "cheat the government of Andhra Pradesh in the matter of granting certain favours to many companies".

In all, the FIR names 72 companies and individuals besides directors, promoters of unknown companies, unknown public servants of the state government and "unknown others" as the accused.

Is this a new year gift to YSR Congress's chief Jagan by CM !!!
