Suri murder case accused seek bail

Two of the accused in the murder case of faction leader Maddelacheruvu Suri today filed petition in the Nampally criminal court seeking bail.

Manmohan and Boya Venkata Hari Babu, who were lodged in Chanchalguda jail after their arrest in the case, filed the bail petition. The court reserved its order for tomorrow on their bail plea.

CID officials who investigated the case objected to the bail petition saying the two accused persons have supplied arms to Suri killer Bhanu Kiran who has been absconding. “Bhanu, his close ally Subbaiah and the two accused have hatched a plan to eliminate Suri and implemented it meticulously,” argued the CID counsel.

The counsel further said that Bhanu had escaped with the support and help of these two accused and releasing them on bail would be highly dangerous. “Once they are released on bail, they will threaten the witnesses and it becomes difficult for us to arrest Bhanu who is on the run,” said the CID counsel and urged the court not to grant bail to them.
