16 cong rebel MLAs to be disqualified in 10 days

The Speaker Mr Nadendla Manohar is likely to disqualify the 16 congress legislators from the assembly within the next ten days.

Sources said that PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana’s suggestion to axe the rebels in a matter of days for their defying the whip during the no-confidence motion was okayed by the Union Minister and in charge of the AP Congress affairs Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad.

Botsa told Azad that he was ready to face the by-polls if they are held along with the UP elections.

Botsa bats for PRP inclusion in the cabinet

During his hectic parleys today in Delhi, Botsa pleaded with Azad that four members from the PRP should be inducted into the cabinet at the earliest.

Reports said that Botsa had suggested the names of Ganta Srinivasa rao, C. Ramachandraiah, Vanga Geetha and Kanna Babu in this regard and asked for the inclusion of at least any two of them into the cabinet immediately.

“The rest can be accommodated in party and corporation posts,” Botsa told Azad. Sources revealed that Azad also agreed to complete the appointments at the DCC level as soon as possible. (JUBS)
