Congress chief whip Mr. K. Murali lodged 16 independent complaints to the Speaker Nadendla Manohar last night seeking disqualification of 16 congress MLAs who defied the whip during voting on the TDP-sponsored no-confidence motion in the assembly last week.

Murali met Manohar in his chambers in the assembly and handed over 16 separate letters to him. The 16 MLAs, against whom action was sought, are Konda Surekha, Kapu Ramachandra reddy, Gurnatha reddy, Balineni Srinivasa reddy, Subhash Chandra bose , Balaraju, D. Krishna Dasu, M. Chandrasekhara reddy, Srikanth reddy, Amarnath reddy, Sucharitha, Srinivasulu, P. Ramakrishna reddy, Chennakesava reddy, Prasada Raju and Babu Rao. (JUBS)
