Kadapa district police have become hyper active all of a sudden by opening rowdy sheets against 40 persons in Pulivendula.

Ms YS Vijayamma, honorary president of the YSR Congress and mother of Kadapa MP Mr YS Jaganmohan reddy is representing the constituency in the state assembly. The police action comes after a gap of 30 years giving room to speculation that police have decided to suppress the anti social elements in the district with an iron hand.

Out of the 40 members against whom rowdy sheets have been opened, 25 persons belong to the YSR congress party and the rest belong to other political parties.  The name of Devi Reddy Sankar reddy, the right hand person of Jagan, has also figured in the list.

Kadapa police, who have made a note of the rowdy sheeters during the recent by elections to Kadapa and Pulivendula, said that police were determined to curb growing crime in the district.

“Law and order is our prime concern and we don’t have any political affiliations,” said a senior police officer in the district. (JUBS)
