T employees call JAC leaders betrayers

TJACHinting at the emergence of a rift among the Government staff of the Telangana area, the joint struggle committee of the unions of Telangana employees, officers, teachers, workers and others had lambasted the JAC of the Telangana employees for withdrawing the strike and betraying the cause of Telangana.

The struggle committee, calling the JAC leaders as betrayers, alleged they had withdrawn the strike for pure selfish reasons and mortgaged the interests of the Telangana people as they had reportedly done during the non-cooperation stir during January.

“The JAC should have focused on the central demand of introducing the Telangana Bill in the Parliament for a separate state in their discussions with the Government. But, they had raised issues not related to Telangana,” said the struggle committee in a statement in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

The statement was signed by the struggle committee leaders Mr K. Gopal Reddy, Mr E. Venkatesam, Mr T. Prabhakar, Mr G. Venkateswarlu, Mr B. Ramsetty, Mr B. Nagesh and Mr B. Raghu.

The struggle committee leaders had also alleged that the TEJAC chairman Mr K. Swamy Goud had indulged in illegalities in the allotment of house sites to the members of the TNGOs Housing Society and asked the Government to suspend him from the post of the president of the Housing Society.

They also met the Governor ESL Narasimhan and requested for an inquiry into the housing scam. “Goud owns three sites in his name and it must be investigated,” they said.
