KCR leaving for Delhi to discuss new proposals

KCrMandaThe Centre has reportedly come out with a new proposal of turning the Hyderabad city into a Union Territory for the next five years as part of finding solution to the nagging Telangana imbroglio.

Even though TRS chief Mr KCR said the proposal is not acceptable, he is leaving for Delhi later in the evening today to discuss the proposal with top central leaders. Sources said he will meet finance minister Pranab Mukherjee, Home Minister P. Chidambaram and in-charge of AP congress affairs Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad tomorrow and discuss the issue.

KCR has earlier rejected the proposals of Hyderabad being made the common capital of both Telangana and Hyderabad for the next ten years or permanently. Sources said he might be interested in discussing the new proposal in detail and accepting it in principle.

Manda Krishna spits fire on TRS, JAC

Manda Krishna Madiga, President of the Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) today warned the TRS and Telangana Political JAC against continuing the mass general strike across Telangana.

Speaking to media persons in Rajahmundry, he said that the children of T leaders like Kodanda Ram, Harish Rao, K. Taraka Rama Rao and Jana Reddy are carrying out their studies somewhere else but they are forcing others to participate in the strike.

“I warn that you are playing with the lives of students of Telangana,” he said and asked them to ensure that schools and colleges are opened immediately. “Instead of seeking the closure of colleges and schools in the Telangana region, seek the resignation of Union Minister Mr Jaipal Reddy,” he asked them.
