Utter chaos and pitched battles marked the Poru Garjana Sabha of teachers organized at the Clock Tower Centre in Nalgonda this morning. The meeting was attended by hundreds of teachers from the district.

Teachers invited minister Komati reddy venkatareddy and congress MPs Mr Gutta Sukhendar Reddy and Ragopala Reddy as guest speakers for the meeting but when they began their speeches, some teachers raised objections and hurled chappals and water bottles on them leading to chaos and tension.

The supporters of the Minister and the MPs retaliated and tried to beat the teachers who hurled chappals and water bottles. In reply, teachers used their chairs as missiles and attacked the congress leaders’ supporters turning the meeting venue into a mini war zone.

Police, who were also present in large numbers, were forced to disperse the teachers through lathi charge. As a result, the meeting ended abruptly and the Minster and MPs were escorted out of the meeting venue safely by the police.
