The Telangana employees’ mass general strike raised tempers in Hyderabad on its 15th day today when the congress MP of Vijayawada Mr Lagadapati Rajagopal visited the RTA office this morning to console its Seema Andhra employees who were attacked by the T forces on Monday.

The striking T employees on Monday raided the RTA office and even slapped the assistant commissioner for serving notices on those who have been boycotting their duties as part of the all people’s strike. They forced him to withdraw the notices served on them but the chief minister Kirankumar reddy later announced the withdrawal was illegal.

Today, Lagadapati Rajagopal visited the staff and was inquiring about their welfare when the TRS and T congress leaders swooped on the RTA office to have a confrontation with him. Better sense prevailed over the police present there and they immediately arrested Rajagopal and took him to the Jubilee Hills police station as a precautionary measure.

Congress and TRS leaders Mr Madhu Yashki Goud, Harish Rao, Koppula Eswar, Vishnu vardhan reddy, Swami Goud and Srinivas Goud tried to trespass into the RTA office but they were prevented by the police. Madhu Yaskhi and others were arrested by the police.

There was a push-push situation as supporters of both Lagadapati Rajagopal and the T leaders collected in large numbers and tried to have a confrontation in the presence of the police. The T elements also ran into an argument with the Commissioner Mr Hiralal Samaria but police dragged them later on.

Meanwhile, hundreds of lawyers of Telangana region reached the Jubilee Hills police station and tried to lay a siege to it leading to tension. The action by the lawyers led to a horrible traffic jam on the Jubilee Hills Road.
