Congress MPs of the Telangana region Mr Madhu Yashki Goud and Mr. Vivek today met the congress core committee member and Union Defense Minister Mr AK Antony in Delhi at his residence and discussed the Telangana issue.

They explained him about the present situation in Telangana resulting from the mass general strike launched by the Telangana employees including doctors, RTC employees, teachers, lectures and electricity department staff demanding the formation of the separate state.

KCR yet to take decision on fast unto death

Meanwhile, TRS leader Mr. K. Taraka Rama Rao said today that his father KCR has not yet taken a decision on launching an indefinite fast for the sake of Telangana. Addressing party cadres at Moulali Railway station where they had resorted to the rail blockade programme, KTR said his father has been thinking of beginning fast unto death between Dussehra and Deepawali festivals.

“The fast unto death will be the last resort and it will be put to use at the most appropriate time,” said KTR. He also said that lakhs of Telangana people will descend on Hyderabad from all corners of Telangana region to lay siege to the city in October.

“In October, we will organize Chalo Hyderabad where lakhs of people will pour into the state capital city. The blockade will be similar to the ones conducted in Libya, Cairo and Sudan,” he warned.
