Station Ghanapur congress MLA Mr. Rajaiah resigned from the Assembly today in support of the demand for separate state of Telangana and sent the quit letter to the Speaker by fax.
He said he would personally request the Speaker Nadendla Manohar to accept his resignation immediately. “I will sit on a dharna if my resignation is not accepted by the Speaker,” he told newsmen at Warangal.
Mr Rajaiah threatened to undertake a fast at the assembly in case Manohar rejects the resignation.
