The police today arrested the builder of the residential complex ‘Syamala Sadan’ that sank into the ground up to its first floor last week in the Sathinagar of Kakinada in East Godavari district.

Mr A. Satyanarayana Murthy of the Pavani Constructions which built the complex was arrested by the police. However, police admitted him into a local hospital as he complained of uneasiness.

It may be recalled that police and fire department personnel rescued seven persons trapped in the debris of the apartment that sank into the ground taking along with it some vehicles and some of the residents.
