A rowdy sheeter and his brother were murdered by their opponents in Brigubanda village of Sattenapalli Mandalam of Guntur district today.

Mr Jagannadham alias Jaggu, a well known rowdy sheeter and his brother Mr Eesu were murdered by their suspected rivals, according to police. Senior police officials have rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies.

“We are sending the bodies for postmortem. Based on the report of the post mortem, we will investigate,” said the police.

Reports said that nearly 30 persons, all belonging to the rival group of the brothers, attacked them with sickles and axes killing them on the spot. The double murder has sent shock waves across the district.

Mr Jaggu was an accused in a murder case of 2009. Several other cases are also pending against him, police said.
