In a crackdown clearly aimed at scuttling the mass general strike of the Telangana employees who have been demanding the separate state of Telangana along with the TRS, police today arrested Mr Swami Goud, president of the JAC of the Telangana Employees’ Associations.

Police swooped on him when he went to the Gandhi Hospital at Padamaraonagar to extend support to the hospital employees who boycotted their duties and were on a demonstration demanding separate state of Telangana.

Police took him into custody for encouraging employees to boycott duties and sent him to Chilakalaguda police station in Secunderabad.

KCR, Kodanda ram demand release of Swami Goud

TRS president K. Chandrasekhara Rao and Telangana political JAC convener Prof. Kodanda Ram demanded the immediate release of Swami Goud and warned the government of serious consequences if he is not released immediately.
