CBI seeks court nod for raids on Jagan

jagan1The CBI officials, who have registered an FIR against YSR Congress party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy for probing his alleged illegal wealth on the orders of the High Court, today submitted an application to the Nampally criminal court seeking permission to raid the offices and houses of Jagan and conduct searches with regard to his properties.

The CBI teams, which had arrived from Visakhapatnam, Bangalore and Chennai, are awaiting the court orders for conducting the raids and searches on Jagan properties.

Joint Director of CBI, Hyderabad Mr Lakshminarayana has already obtained permission from his Delhi bosses to register FIR against Jagan and conduct searchers on his properties.

Meanwhile, Jagan in his petition to the Supreme Court, had sought a stay on the orders of the High Court and requested it not to allow freezing of his assets and bank accounts by the CBI. It is however not yet clear when his petition will be taken up for consideration by the Apex court.
