HC orders criminal case against Jagan, full CBI probe

jaganIn a major blow to the YSR Congress party chief YS Jaganmohan reddy, the AP high court today ordered a full-fledged CBI investigation into the allegations of illegal accumulation of wealth against him.

Delivering its order on the petitions filed by the minister Sankara Rao, TDP leaders Yerram Naidu, Ashok Gajapathi Raju and Byreddy Rajasekhara reddy and Kadapa based lawyer Mr Sherwani, the High Court ordered filing of a criminal case against Jagan under the Anti Corruption Act and Money Laundering Act.

“There is prime facie evidence against Jagan and the case needs a full probe,” ordered the court asking the CBI to probe the assets of Jagan with relation to the two said Acts. “The court has taken this decision based on the preliminary investigation report submitted by the CBI,” said the HC saying that they have examined all the documents submitted by all parties concerned and the petitions and letters submitted by the complaints

Full fledged probe against Emaar

The High court also ordered the CBI to conduct a full fledged investigation into the illegalities committed by the Emaar Properties in its land dealings.
