A joint delegation of the JAC of the Telangana Employees’ Associations and the Telangana political JAC, led by their conveners Mr Swami Goud and Prof. Kodanda Ram respectively, today left for Delhi to meet the national leaders of pro-Telangana parities and seek their support for the proposed general strike from August 17.
Mr Goud and Kodanda Ram will also meet the Telangana congress leaders camping in Delhi for talks on Telangana.
The pro-Telangana organizations agitating for the separate state will seek the support of the BJP, CPI and other parties to raise the issue of Telangana in the monsoon session of parliament beginning August 1.
“We have decided to seek the support of the national political parties in the wake of the threat by the government to invoke ESMA against the employees during the proposed strike next month,” said Swami Goud before leaving for Delhi.
