Investors in Jagan group file SLP in SC

jaganSeeking a stay on the High Court orders to the CBI to investigate and submit a preliminary report on the allegations of illegal accumulation of wealth and money laundering by the YSR Congress party president Mr YS Jaganmohan reddy, Jagan owned Jagathi Publications, publishers of Sakshi daily and some corporate companies who have invested in various Jagan-led companies today filed a petition in the Supreme Court.

Jagathi Publications, Bharathi Cements, Matrix and some other companies filed the petition today, according to sources. They requested the apex court to grant a stay on the high court orders till hearing on their SLP is completed.

Based on the petitions filed by the Minister Shankar rao, the High Court ordered the CBI to inquire into the allegations and submit a sealed cover report with in two weeks to ascertain whether a prima facie case exits for a deeper probe against Jagan. Going by the orders, the CBI officials have been working overtime and collecting information from various companies and organizations who have invested in Jagan companies.

Rambabu denies

Ambati Rambabu, spokesperson of YSR congress, however denied that Jagan filed a petition in the Supreme Court. “Jagan himself has not filed any petition. But companies which have invested in Jagan companies must have filed them,” he said.
