In a key development in the case relating to the illegal transportation of the wealth of the late spiritual guru Sri Satya Sai Baba of Puttaparthy, the Ananthapuram district police this evening arrested Mr Pradhan, the chief security officer of the Satya Sai Central Trust for his involvement in the affair.

 

Trust members Mr Ratnakar and others are trying to mislead the people and police by asserting that the trust has nothing to do with the seized cash of Rs.35 lakh but police have firmly said that the money belonged to Yajurmandiram.

 

The police said that they would leave no one in this case and investigations would be taken up on a full scale. The police have taken Mr Pradhan to an undisclosed destination for interrogation.

 

There are reports that the police may interrogate some of the Trust members soon.
