Three students of AP figured in the top ten ranks in the open category of the All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE-2011) for which the results were declared last evening in Hyderabad.
The three students, Varun, I. Prudhvi Tej and T. Bhargav Reddy of Sri Chaitanya, secured 5th, 7th and 8th ranks respectively at the national level in AIEEE results. The three of them have also figured in the top ten ranks in the recent IIT-JEE results.
On the whole, the AP students have secured 7950 ranks in the AIEEE results reserving 30 per cent of the total 26,500 seats for themselves in the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), IIITs, deemed universities and other Centre-funded institutions.
