Botsa to take over as new PCC chief

Botsa to take over as new PCC chief ?It has almost become certain today that Panchayat Raj Minister and the North coastal Andhra congress leader belonging to the Kapu community Mr. Botsa Satyanarayana will replace D. Srinivas as the new PCC chief, according to the political developments that took place in Delhi.

After a day of hectic parleys between them, Botsa and the Union Minister and in-charge of AP congress affairs Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad met party president Sonia Gandhi in the evening where reportedly Botsa was informed of the high command’s decision to make him the PCC chief.

The official announcement on his appointment is likely to be made in a day or two by the party high command.

On the other hand, PRP chief Chiranjeevi and his MLAs, who are camping in Delhi, also met Azad and held consultations before Botsa met him.

Botsa, who once made a pro-Telangana statement and caused sensation among the Seema Andhra leaders, has excellent relations with all groups in the party, besides being a hardcore loyalist to the high command.

What is however surprising is that the high command has chosen him despite the chief minister Kirankumar reddy’s objections to his appointment as the new PCC chief.
