Nara, Nandamuri cold war continues

Nara, Nandamuri cold war continues There are sure signs that the cold war between the Nandamuri and Nara families over inheriting the political legacies of the TDP is continuing unabated.

This was evident when the Vijayawada Urban TDP president Vallabhaneni Vamsi, MLA Kodali Nani and their followers, owing allegiance to Nandamuri Hari Krishna and Jr. NTR in the party, were conspicuous by their absence at the extended meeting of the Krishna district party held in Machilipatnam today.

The meeting was convened to discuss and finalize the resolutions that would be introduced in the Party Mahanadu. But sources said that Jr. NTR, who has been aiming to carry on the political legacy of NTR, has ordered his loyalists not to attend the party meeting today.

The development comes at a time when the TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu was under tremendous pressure from the party leaders of his Chandragiri constituency in Chittor district to appoint Nara Lokesh as in charge of the party there.

The TDP leaders of the Chandragiri assembly constituency have even proposed to move a resolution in the party Mahanadu supporting the appointment of Lokesh as in charge of their constituency. Following the development, Jr.NTR has decided to implement his strategy to counter the covert moves of Chandrababu to promote Lokesh.
