Azad feels the T pinchSome ministers and Congress MPs of the T region today met the Union Minister and in-charge of the AP congress affairs Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad in Hyderabad and told him bluntly that the government must announce Telangana state formation by second week of June failing which they said they would think of quitting their posts.

MPs Komati reddy Rajagopal reddy, Ministers Basavaraju Saraiah and Damodar Rajanarasimha met the Union Minister along with some other MLAs and MLCs of the Telangana area and told him that the government must stand by the December 9 statement on the formation of Telangana.

After meeting Azad, the ministers told media persons that they had met him with the single point agenda of seeking Telangana state.

Keshava rao hands over letter to Azad

Rajya Sabha MP of the T region Mr K. Keshava Rao last night met Azad at the Lake View guest house and did some plain speaking with him saying that they had waited for the Centre’s decision on Telangana state till the completion of the elections in five states at the behest of the congress.

“You are the people who opted for the alliance with the TRS in elections supporting the Telangana state formation. The congress leadership and the centre must announce Telangana now. Otherwise, we have our action plan,” Keshava Rao told a stunned Azad.

Later, he handed over a letter to Azad seeking immediate announcement on Telangana.
