Cong emerges single largest party in Assam

Cong emerges single largest party in AssamIn the final results declared to the 126-member Assam Assembly elections, the congress led by the chief minister Tarun Gogai had emerged as the single largest party by winning 74 seats.
 
While AGP bagged 11 seats, the BJP won 5 and independents and others won 36 seats. Tarun Gogai is all set to become the chief minister of the state for the third time in succession.
