Finance Minister Aanam Ramanarayana Reddy will on Wednesday present the state budget for the financial year 2011-12 which will have an estimated
budget of more than Rs. 1.20 lakh Cr.

The government will present the budget amid political turbulence in the state with the pro-Telangana parties and groups observing bandh across Telangana demanding immediate formation of Telangana state and with the TRS and Telangana TDP MLAs creating chaos in the assembly with various demands.

This is fourth time that the government will have a budget crossing 1 lakh Cr. The last year’s budgetary estimates were around Rs. 1,13,675 Cr and the budget was Rs.1.03 lakh Cr for the year 2009-10.

The State Cabinet will formally meet Wednesday morning to approve the budget and the Minister will present the budget in the assembly around 12 noon.
