The regional hatred between Telangana and Seema Andhra area has made its way into the AP police association which abruptly ended its meeting today without transacting any business following differences among its office bearers over distribution of posts.

When the meeting was under way, some police officials belonging to the Telangana area suddenly rose to demand justice in the distribution of posts of the association. They demanded that the posts of president and general secretary should be given to the Telangana and Seema Andhra area respectively.

“We have no objection if the general secretary post is given to the Seema Andhra area but president post must be given to the Telangana area,” demanded the police officers belonging to Telangana area, according to sources. After that, the meeting ended abruptly.

Sources said that the DGP has constituted a committee to look into the demands of the police officers belonging to the Telangana area and suitable steps would be taken after the report is submitted. “The DGP has asked the police officials to wait till then,” the sources said.
