Kidnap case against Jagan men

Kidnap case against Jagan men, Obulamma, Chinavenkata Subbanna, MPTS member, MLC election, habeas corpus petition, MLC elections from the Kadapa districtThe wife of an MPTC (Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituencies) member of the Dommara Nandyala village in Kadapa district filed a petition against the men of former Kadapa MP Mr YS Jaganmohan reddy today alleging that her husband was kidnapped by Jagan men.

Ms. Obulamma filed a habeas corpus petition saying her husband Mr. Chinavenkata Subbanna was kidnapped by one Mr Lakshmaiah, a lieutenant of Jammalamadugu MLA Mr C.Adinarayana reddy, a close follower of Jagan.

Responding to the petition, a division bench of the court consisting of Justices V.Eswaraiah and Surya Appa Rao, directed the SP of Kadapa district to trace the kidnapped person and present him before them on March 7.The bench also directed the police to submit a status report on the issue immediately.

Obulamma alleged in her petition that her husband was kidnapped soon after the notification was issued by the election authorities for MLC election from the local bodies’ constituency in the Kadapa district.

“My husband told me over phone that he was surrounded by men and was not allowed to move. He told me only police intervention could help him come out of the hands of the kidnappers,” Obulamma said in her petition.

Her lawyer also showed a mobile phone to the court and switched it on to let the judges hear the recorded voice of the kidnapped member of the MPTC.
