Death will safeguard me: Asad

Death will safeguard me: AsadMIM chief and MP Mr Asaduddin Owaisi today refused police security offered to him by the government saying death itself is the custodian of his security.

Speaking in a media conference in Hyderabad, he also asked the Police Commissioner AK Khan to withdraw the notices served on 10 TV channels for telecasting the video footage of the recent attack on his brother and Chandrayangutta MLA, Mr Akbaruddin Owaisi who is recovering in Care Hospital.

“When the brutal scenes of the Macca Masjid and Lumbini Park blasts were shown on channels, why can’t the visuals of attack on my brother be shown?” he asked police.

Asaduddin Owaisi asked the government to set up separate court for the trial of Mr Akbaruddin Owaisi’s case and suggested that the President’s Gallantry Medal be awarded to Mr Mohammed Jani who resisted the attackers.

Requesting the government to enact special laws to deal with the land mafia, he said his brother has identified 75 acres of government land in his constituency encroached by land mafia.

Asaduddin also alleged that his brother’s attackers enjoyed patronage of some Urdu newspapers which are involved in anti-MIM propaganda from 2007.
