T cong MPs serve ultimatum on Sonia

GulabNabiAzadTelangana congress MPs today met the Union Health Minister and in charge of party affairs in AP Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad and told him in plain terms that they would wait till May 15 for a clear announcement on Telangana state by the Centre and warned him of quitting their Lok Sabha seats after the deadline.

“We will wait up to May 15 for a clear statement on the formation of Telangana state to be followed up by concrete action for Telangana state in June first week. Or else, we will quit our seats and also politics,” the MPs warned the Minister reportedly.

The MPs told him that they are not in a position to move in their constituencies on the issue of Telangana and there is no alternative for them to quit their posts if no decision is taken before the deadline.

The MPs told journalists after meeting the Minister there is no strength in the argument that KCR will get the credit if the Centre agrees for Telangana now and congress will lose in both Seema Andhra and Telangana in such a case.

“We told him that we will convince KCR for merging his party in Congress if Telangana is declared,” T congress MPs Madhu Yashki Goud and Ponnam Prabhakar said.
