Million March, permission, violators of law, stern police action, AK Khan, Kodanda Ram Hyderabad Police commissioner AK Khan today warned that violators of law and order would be sternly dealt with on March 10, the day of Million March proposed by the Telangana political JAC.

Addressing media persons in Hyderabad, Khan disclosed that JAC chief Kodanda Ram met him and informed about the proposed Million March but did not seek any permission to conduct it. “Since he did not seek any permission for it, we did not give any,” he said, adding that violators of law and order, if any, would be dealt with severely during the unauthorized programme.

Asserting that the responsibility of the police is to ensure peaceful continuance of normal life of the people, Khan asked parents of CBSE students to take care of their children who would attend examinations on that day.

Meanwhile, JAC chairman Kodanda Ram told journalists they have decided to conduct a peaceful Million March on Thursday but the police have been resorting to provoking acts with a view to disturb the programme.

Reacting to Khan’s assertion the March has no police permission, Kodanda Ram said there is no need for police permission for a peaceful programme.
