Congress MP of the Telangana region Mr Madhu Yashki Goud today exploded a bombshell saying that TRS chief K. Chandrasekhara rao is ready to merge his party with congress if the party high command makes a clear-cut announcement on the issue of formation of the Telangana state.

Madhu Yashki’s statement at a media conference in Delhi gains significance as it comes a day after the region’s senior congress leader K. Keshava rao said that TRS also would merge with congress if necessary and congress leadership would take appropriate steps in this regard as and when necessary.

Madhu Yaskhi made the statement today after having consultations with the Union Minister and in-charge of AP congress affairs Mr. Veerappa Moily. Yashki made the statement with the permission of the congress high command and after intimating KCR in advance, according to sources.

Yashki said that the T congress leaders would not attend the all party meeting to be convened by Home Minister Chidambaram or Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee if the Centre is not favourable to formation of separate Telangana.

Speaking on the PRP merger with congress, he said it would be good for the congress in the Seema Andhra area and similarly there is a need to strengthen the party in the Telangana also by seeking the merger of TRS.
