Kiran alleges conspiracy, complains to Sonia

SoniaKiranTaken aback at the defeat of three congress candidates in the legislative council elections from the local bodies quota due to the reported conspiracy of some party leaders owing allegiance to the former Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy, Chief Minister Kirankumar reddy met the party president Sonia Gandhi in Delhi on Thursday and told her that Jagan’s candidates won with money power.

He reportedly informed Sonia that some leaders in the congress had hatched a conspiracy to prove that he was inefficient as chief minister and joined hands with Jagan to defeat the party candidates in some places. “By joining hands with Jagan, these leaders want to prove that I am inefficient and they want to damage the congress party also,” Kirankumar has complained to Sonia, according to sources.

He complained that party candidate was defeated in Chittor district by the conspiracy of the former minister P. Ramachandra reddy. “Former Minister JC Diwakar reddy also worked against the party,” the chief minister is said to have informed the party president.

Kirankumar has agreed he took a wrong decision in asking Ganga Bhavani and Gidugu Rudra Raju to contest in East Godavari district knowing full well that they have been facing opposition there.

Passing the buck to the group of congress leaders supporting Jagan, the chief minister finally asked the party president Sonia Gandhi to initiate disciplinary action against those who are supporting Jagan and who are openly defying the party instructions. Sonia reportedly advised the CM to be careful in future and work out plans well in advance henceforth.
