Million March curtailed for 3 hours on March 10

Million March on March 10, differences between KCR and Kodanda RamAmid reports that TRS chief KCR has threatened to disassociate his party from the proposed Million March on March 10 if it is not postponed for the sake of students’ examinations, the Telangana political JAC has asserted today that the March to Hyderabad will be held as scheduled on March 10. But bowing to the demands of KCR, the programme was curtailed for three hours.

“The Million March to Hyderabad will take place on March 10 and there is no change in the schedule,” JAC chief Kodanda ram told media persons after a JAC meeting in Hyderabad. “But the programme will be held between 1 PM and 4 PM keeping in view the intermediate examination on that day,” he said, adding that as part of the March, people will stage a peaceful dharna on Tank Bund and express their solidarity for the sake of Telangana. He requested the police not to interfere with the March.

Going back into the threat of KCR, Andhra Jyothy published a story today saying that KCR, who first advocated the Million March on March 10, asked the JAC to postpone it after his trip to Delhi.

KCR first unilaterally announced the date for the programme and initially the JAC and BJP also opposed the date of March 10 on the pretext of examinations but later on all the T groups confirmed the date along with the JAC falling in line with the idea of KCR.

The story says that KCR has changed his stance after his trip to Delhi and the JAC and other organizations are suspecting that KCR must have colluded with the Delhi congress leaders and promised them he would not take up any agitation till May.

The JAC and other leaders reportedly told KCR that they have already made arrangements for the programme and cannot postpone it now as desired by him. “The JAC leaders believe that KCR was responsible for the withdrawal of the non-cooperation movement of the employees. If the Million March is postponed now, the JAC will get weakened among the Telangana masses,” the story says.

The daily also says that KCR has developed a grudge against Kodanda Ram who is independently leading the agitation now for the sake of Telangana state.
