K. Chandrasekhara Rao was unanimously reelected as the president of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) at a meeting of the party’s delegates held at Mahaboobnagar today.
Nayani Narasimha Reddy, who officiated as the election official of the party, announced this in a media conference after the election. Later, KCR thanked the delegates for reelecting him as the party president.
On the direction of KCR, all the delegates who included leaders, activists and people’s representatives took a vow saying that they would rededicate themselves to the struggle to achieve Telangana.
The meeting then adopted a resolution, introduced by the MLA Mr Harish Rao, asking the Centre and the congress party to introduce the Telangana Bill in the next session of the parliament.
