Vamsi finally decides, quits party post

VvamsiTDP Vijayawada urban unit president Vallabhaneni Vamsi has finally made up his mind and quit his party post this evening. He faxed his resignation letter to the party office.

Saying he cannot work under the leadership of Krishna district TDP president Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, Vamsi said he will continue as an ordinary party worker under the leadership of TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu.

Vamsi thanked the senior leader Gorantla Buchaiah Chowdary who came to Vijayawada as directed by party president Naidu to set right the situation in the district party. Vamsi thanked Chowdary for promising him that the resignation would be accepted.

Vamsi this morning first announced his resignation to the party post opposing the leadership of Uma and then said he would continue to hold the post when party workers mounted pressure on him not to resign at the party workers’ meeting.

“ I was forced to say no to the resignation by the party workers in the meeting held at the party office this morning but now it is final and there is no going back on the resignation,” he told media persons at Vijayawada after faxing his resignation letter.
