1. You are yet to know the work culture :

This is the most common problem that you may face initially. Work culture clearly means the way the organization works . It can be totally different from company to company. The work ethics, company regulations will be different. Some might follow the strict guidelines in terms of everything, right from the dress code to how you should call your superiors. You may not even realize that your not so properly ironed cloths or your "Hey Jack" attitude can depict a lot to the concerned authorities. So the golden rule is to OBSERVE from the very first moment you've joined. So for that even see what your peers are wearing, how he is communicating to the boss but most importantly how he is doing the things right.

2. Some skills you yet to have perfected:

No matter how talented you are , a new job demands a great deal of skill-set which you might not have perfected it yet. May be these skills were not included in the job description but now coming to you by default. Don't worry as there is always a better tomorrow! All you need to do is, highlight your weak areas to your boss in the same way that you have boosted your strengths in your resume. Only then they will be able to guide you better. Or you can take few tips from your new workplace buddies. Take a little pain in learning some new things. Just be focused that you have to show your worth.

3.If you are an outsider:

The sincere advice is don't regard yourself as an outsider, mingle as much as you can. If you are not from the same place where your workplace is there may be some problem you might face, For example the culture of the place is entirely different from your hometown but hey what's wrong in trying out some new things, or even learn a new language?

4.Your socializing skills are not good:

Having 200+ friends on facebook doesn't mean you have a great socializing skill. Your real socializing skills in terms of your workplace will be reflected as how you behave with your co-workers and for that matter the receptionist or the office boy too. Be gentle and opening a line with the word "Please" will cause no harm.

5. Be Creative :

Honestly creativity will be a key factor in terms of earning the respect of your peers but be sure that you are not being pretentious as well. It's nice that you know things but it's not nice that you want to prove that you know everything..!

Cheers..!
