Congress MP s from Telangana region were all in smiles on Wednesday after they got assurance and exact date on all party meet to discuss Telangana issue. While TRS and other associations including T Joint Action Committee have been stating that there was no need for any such debate and have been pressing on tabling bill on Telangana in parliament, Congress leaders felt that it convincing Congress for convening all party meeting was their victory and also a first step to formation of Telangana.

All party meet really a step towards forming Telangana?

The answer to this question is uncertain. Everyone including Congress leaders from Telangana region apparently knew that in the all party meeting, an interim and immediate decision on Telangana would not be taken. Then why was Congress leaders so happy? Observers have perfect answer to this question. They said in order to put TDP supremo Chandrababu in a fix, Congress leaders pressed for all party meet.

Notably, Congress and TDP both are yet to give their official stand on Telangana issue. It may be noted that Chandrababu Naidu said TDP stand on Telangana would be made clear at all party meet. So, Chandrababu Naidu is undoubtedly in a situation wherein he has to decide to a perfect stand just like how Chiranjeevi supported unified Andhra. Babu has to either support unified Andhra or Telangana.  This move of Congress party will also put YSRC in trouble as even that party is required to give a perfect stand on Telangana. Above all, it's a big question whether Congress is going to clear  its stand on Telangana in the all party meet or not. Anyway, with the declaration of all party meet, politics in AP took an interesting turn.
