The amazing "One pound fish" song ; next "Gangnam style"?

According to a new buzz, it seems "Gangnam Style" fame Psy is going to face a stiff competition from a Pakistani fish seller in an undeclared who-is-more-popular contest as his "one pound fish" song to attract costumers is going viral on Youtube notching up 4 million views and counting.

"Come on ladies, come on ladies, have-a, have-a look, one pound fish. Very very good, very very cheap, one pound fish," fish seller Muhammad Shahid Nazir can be seen singing at an east London market to attract customers. He went to Britain to make enough money to send back to his wife and four children in Pakistan. When his boss told him to yell as a way to attract customers, he decided to create a song instead and surprisingly this became immensely popular.

Though the singer is quite tuneless, there is talk of him being offered a record deal from Warner Brothers music and of him being a top Christmas seller-of music, not fish! Talking to the reporters about the news Nazir said "My customers said to me, 'Your song is very good, so catchy'. They said, 'You should be a pop star, you should go on X Factor', People have come from Australia, the US, Canada and all over Europe. They don't come here to work or shop, they come for One Pound Fish Man."

Even if he does make it big in the music industry, the fish seller says he won't stop selling fish because without the fish, he'd be no one. "I love this stall and these fish. I will always work here. None of this would have happened without the fish," he said.

A heartwarming story if there ever was one! It's always great to see someone who has nothing-the One Pound Fish Man arrived in the UK with nothing more than a bag and a dream-got noticed. Celebrities and athletes like Alesha Dixon, US boy band Mindless Behavior and Rio Ferdinand  are supporting him and it looks like he is destined to be a star.
Fishing is fun indeed..!
