Top 5 haunted places in India

Are you a parapsychologist or a ghost hunter? Do you often argue with your friends that no ghost exists in the world? If the answers are yes, then we have some places to mention, the top five haunted places in the country. Pay a visit to these places to apparently experience the chill down the spine. Make sure you have enough guts before you leave to these places.

Bhangarh Fort:

King Madho Singh established his empire in Bhagarh and made this fort his residence. This is a small deserted town in Rajasthan. It's, in fact, an abandoned village. None stays in this town. Even the office of the Archeological Survey of India is outside the village. Usually archeology department office will be next to the pre-historic structure. But, in Bhangarh it's an exception. Also, you will see a board by the Archeological department, which reads: "Entering the borders of Bhangarh before sunrise and after sunset is strictly prohibited. Legal action would be taken against anybody who does not follow these instructions."

The legend has it that this village was cursed by a magician. The story states that Princess of Bhangarh, Ratnavati was loved by a magician. This magician apparently uses black magic on the oil purchased by Ratnavati so that the latter surrenders herself to the magician once she touches the oil. Ratnavati on getting to know this poured it to the ground. This act was said to have claimed the life of magician. While dying, magician cursed that this village would be ruined. The next year Princess Ratnavati was killed in a battle between Bhagarh and Ajabgarh.

Bhargah-Fort

It has been believed that the ghosts of people who died in that fort haunts the place and therefore entry is restricted between sunset and sunrise. Also, people believe that whoever enters the fort during this time will never return and they would apparently turn into ghosts.

Ramoji Film City:

There were apparent reports that many people experienced para normal activities after staying at hotels in Ramoji Film City. The locals believe that this place was haunted by the soldiers, who died during Nizam's era. People (especially women) complained that they saw shadows in the changing rooms, someone banging the washroom doors from outside, some urdu writings on mirrors etc.

Raj Kiran Hotel, Lonavala:

There's said to be a particular room in this hotel, which was haunted. The hotel management reportedly closed the room forever after they apparently recorded many such cases. There were reports that many people who stayed in that room underwent mental treatment. The story has it that some paranormal activity takes place at this particular room.

Dumas Beach in Gujarat:

There's a famous beach in Gujarat named Dumas. This place is not only a tourist destination but also a funeral land. There were apparent reports that ghosts of the dead roam here. It was said that whosoever walks on this beach during nights would hear strange sounds and would ask him/her to go back and not to move forward.  Also, several tourists were said to have disappeared while walking on this beach during nights.

Dow Hill, Kurseong, West Bengal:

Dow Hill was said to be one of the most haunted places in the county. Several paranormal activities were reportedly recorded at this place. Many people apparently said that they saw a headless boy walking in the forest. Also, locals reportedly said they heard footsteps in corridors of Victoria Boys School during nights and that too during vacation.

Shaniwarwada Fort, Pune:

There's a legend that a 13-year-old boy was killed brutally after chasing him around the fort. The story has it that this boy's ghost haunts this area. People reportedly heard "Kaka, mala vachva," meaning uncle save me. These cries were heard at midnights on new moon days.
