Konidala Prince Ram Charan (Cherry as he is called by his friends) wins the heart of the Domakonda princess Upasana Kamineni and is off to stake his claims at the royal wedding on June 14 at 7.30 pm in in Temple Tree Farms owned by Dr Pratap C Reddy near Gandipet, on the outskirts of the city. Obviously after the culmination, the Mega prince is to be the coronate prince for the Reddy Rajulu of the Domakonda sansthan.

 The historic wedding evinces interest in one and all due to the fact that so many of the elite India are involved. The prominent in the first league are the millions worshipped actor turned politician Megastar Chiranjeevi, the father of the groom and his counterpart ace archer Anil Kamineni, who heads the state archery asscociation and is the descendant of the Domakonda Sansthan. In the second league on the grrom side we have the Mega Producer Allu Arvind, Iconic Producer Nagababu and Power Star Pawan Kalyan. And on the bride's side we have the doyen of the health industry in the country Dr Pratap C Reddy, is a man in the millions who had architectured the health initiatives and hospital sophistication in this country. With so many stalwarts involved in one wedding the spotlight is sure on Cherry's event.

 Ram Charan and Upasana inspite of their elite background groomed their six years friendship into marital bliss. What to say about the mega prince he has reached an iconic status in the Tollywood and is pacing towards Bollywood with his maiden venture, a remake of Amitabh's Zanzeer which is underway with post production work. His lady love is currently the Vice President of Apollo Chairty & Editor of B Positive, Lifetime WellnessRx International Limited, Apollo Group of Hospitals. Upasana has also carved a niche for herself in the healthcare division. And significantly Upasana is heading the charity initiatives of Apollo Hospitals Group, which is the third largest private hospital network in world. Both of them studied together at the HPS in Hyderabad and their budding friendship blossomed into love which later with the consents of both families is due to culminate into marriage.

In a bid to woo his fiancée and as a tradition of the Feudal lords, the young prince had bought a polo team. And it was Upasana who took all the time to make the Cherry's dream come true. And they are all set to turn a new leaf in the life book. The joint venturte begins amidst pomp and grandeur. Infact this wedding also dispelled the rumors over the split in the mega family. The engagement brought out the fact of their union. This is when Pawan drove the groom to the wedding venue and symbolically proved his unison. Again to disprove rumor mongers, the power star couple took an active part in the `sangeet' celebrations which kick started the wedding grandeur at the Annapurna Studios on Monday (June 11). The theme of the evening was`Night at the movies', Kajal, Shriya and Tamanna and Allu Arjun performed. The guests list includes Mahesh Babu, NTR Jr, Rana, Prabhas, Ravi Teja, Samantha, Illeana and Trishaa. The highlight is bride and groom had humourous time together at their sangeet. Both Ram Charan and Upasana were dressed by Bollywood's ace designer Manish Malhotra.

Earlier it was rumored that the historical wedding would take place in the Domakonda forte in Nizamabad, however sentimental attributes had changed the venue. Domakonda is in the Nizamabad District, the Reddy Dynasty was founded in 1325 AD. The first of the Reddy clans came into prominence during the Kakatiya period. The Reddy chiefs were appointed as generals and soldiers under the Kakatiyas. Reddys were among the feudatories of Kakatiya ruler Pratapa Rudra. During this time the Reddys carved out feudal principalities for themselves. The Reddy feudatories fought against the invading Muslim sultans and defended the region from coming under Muslim rule.

The Reddy dynasty that first rose to power came from the Pantakula or the Panta Vamsa Reddys. The Reddy chieftains who were feudatories to the Kakatiya dynasty became independent after the death of Kakatiya ruler Pratapa Rudra in 1323 CE and the subsequent fall of the Kakatiya empire. The Reddy rulers were scions in arts and culture, Errana, the translator of Ramayana, lived during this period. The dynasty remained in power till the middle of the 15th century and was supplanted by the Gajapatis of Orissa. The village Kamaareddy name came from the ancestors of Anil Kamineni's great great grandfather Kaama Reddy Kamineni.
