Do you remember Kalki Koechlin, the actress who has set the silver screen on fire, with her amazing acting in Dev D? Yes, that cute little girl in Dev D, who happens to be the spouse of Anurag Kashyap is missing International Cannes Film Festival…sob! But, what can be done…? Her bad luck took the form of a film director to stop her from accompanying her hubby.

Anuraj Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur will be screened at the film festival and his wife will not be with him at the prestigious gathering.  Kalki reportedly told a media that she’s working on a film and the director of that film was not permitting her to take an off from the work despite she pleading him n number of times.

So, Kalki will not be appear on red carpet this time….let’s hope she gets an opportunity to be a part of the grand event in the near future.   (Phani)
