A nation of 1.21 billions has to bow its head in shame when a distant tribal woman was asked to dance naked in front of international tourists by a police officer, in Andaman forests. Man will misuse his designation to stoop down to such a level for money. The country woke up to here this dreaded tragedy in which the primitive Jarawas tribal women living in the jungles have been neglected by the government and exploited by the men in uniform. The video footage that appeared in a British tabloid made the nation to awaken to human sufferings meted out to our own brethren, in our own country. Singh Deo told Times Now television channel: "It is disgraceful if something like this is happening."It ... cannot be pardoned. It deserves exemplary punishment," he added. Law and Minority Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid said strict action should be taken against those responsible for forcing the tribal women to dance.

According to the sources, this rare tribal community has just population 450 families in the deep forests. Tour companies have already encroached jungle to run safaris for tourists. The wealthy tourists pay hefty amount to local police to make tribe women naked.

The Guardian further writes: This kind of video is the trophy tourists’ dream of when they set off into the jungles of the Andaman Islands “on safari”. The beauty of the forest functions merely as a backdrop. The goal of the trip is to seek out the Jarawa, a reclusive tribe only recently contacted, which is taking the first tentative steps towards a relationship with the outside world…
…The role of the police is to protect tribes people from unwelcome and intrusive outsiders. But on this occasion the officer had accepted a £200 bribe to get the girls to perform.
