Telugu Cinema Suffers from another ‘Big Loss’

BadruShakthiI still remember watching the film ‘Shakti’. The film was loaded with amazing Graphics, extra – ordinary locations and Cinematography, mind blowing Stunts, glamour shown by Ileana, but no exciting story and screenplay. As a result, irrespective of investing 36 crores on the film, ‘Shakti’ turned out to be another flop of Jr. N.T.R’s career and nothing else. Same case about ‘Badrinath’. The Audio launch function was extra – ordinary, heroine Tamanna was a talk of the town, Allu Arjun’s hard work to build his body and learn new kind of stunts was much talked about, the songs, despite being just average were highlighted to be a Superhit, 40+ crores were the budget of the film.

Irrespective of all this, ‘Badrinath’, is a flop, post two days of its release. Telugu Cinema faced a huge loss in this year, with two of the highest budget films, bombed at the box office.

The film makers has to learn with the flop of these two films that, irrespective of whatever add on one does for a film, it is only a proper Story and entertaining screenplay that can hold the audience to watch the film. Best example to quote with is ‘100% Love’, Directed by Sukumar. The film’s entire production cost was not more than 10 crores, but post released the film already earned 5 times more revenue.
