Sena's ultimatum to BJP

Shiv Sena has issued an ultimatum to Bharatiya Janata Party to join the government in Maharashtra. Sena has been demanding deputy chief minister post while the BJP is reluctant. One the Shiv Sena MP said, “for the past few days, we are trying to sort out the differences, but they got stuck over the deputy CM's post.”

Shiv Sena has been insisting for the 1995 formula but BJP declined it as it is the single largest party in the state with 121 seats in the 288 Assmebly. Further the Sena MP added that the party is ready to compromise on the portfolios but not on the deputy CM post. BJP has to will seek a vote of confidence on November 10th and if Sena fails to support, BJP is quite confident of getting 41 MLAs support from Sharad Pawar's Nationalist Congress party.

Sena is demanding 10 ministerial portfolios, including five cabinet posts and the deadline for BJP is till Saturday.
